Did I just become vegan? I’m pretty sure this is how Veganism starts. I have read a plethora of books where animals are the main characters with human like qualities, however, this is an entirely different level. We don’t have animals behaving like humans, we have animals behaving like animals and we are fortunate enough to have it translated brilliantly. Beware, YOU WILL CRY!!! You will literally root against nature taking its course! I truly believe that Adams did some serious research into the behavior of animals before writing this. Have you ever just felt like an author “got it right”? Well, if you haven’t, allow me to introduce you to Richard Adams. This novel is absolutely brilliant and well worth the two days it took me to finish it!
