Dark, twisted, beautiful Poe. Let me begin with first saying that I was, at one point, completely obsessed with Edgar Allen Poe. As with Jane Austen, I am eternally a fan of their fan fiction. Once again, Poe inspires something haunting and beautiful; dismal, yet hopeful. Winters is simply outstanding in uncovering the muse of Poe. Dissecting every small detail that contributed to his greatness, building a story where history has failed to provide us with one. I appreciate the amount of research that went into this, Winters dug up the most arbitrary of events and made them wondrous.
