HOLY… Ok, clear the afternoon, turn your phone off, grab your favorite drink and settle in. This one is one of THOSE. High fantasy streamlined into historical fiction. YES PLEASE!!!! Roshani Chokshi is definitely one of my favorite authors, but this is so far from what’s on par for the Chokshi brand. Nevertheless, Chokshi delivers… AGAIN!!!! Complex characters, Plot Twists galore, interwoven histories, the mythos, EVERYTHING!!! If you didn’t know Chokshi was life, you will know after reading this, and grab the Silver Serpent (book 2) when you're done!!!
