If you're looking for a graphic novel series for young readers, I recommend the Amulet books by Kazu Kibuishi. The first book is "The Stonekeeper", published in 2008.
After their mother is kidnapped and taken to a strange new world, siblings Emily and Navin must decide whether a powerful amulet will help them rescue her, or cause more harm than good. This series has robots, elves, a walking house, and an entire fantasy realm to explore.
The author has planned nine books total. The most recent volume was published in 2018, and the final book is set to release in 2021.
