Say Something!

Say Something! is the cutest picture book for little ones learning to read. The storybook encourages kids to use their voice to speak up about things that are important to them. The message that everyone has something important to say is so impactful for kids. I particularly liked that Reynolds didn’t define “saying something” purely as speaking – he also includes various actions one can take in order to speak up such as creating art, protesting, being there for someone, and expressing your identity through fashion.

Each page had a beautiful message with simple dialogue that can easily encourage conversations for kiddos. The illustrations were also wonderful and full of color. I loved the different patterned backgrounds and speech bubbles that highlighted the story.

Overall, this was such a heartwarming book to read and I highly recommend it to looking for a new storybook for kids.
