Lalani of the Distant Sea

Wow, so this one is a double first for me. It’s my first book by Erin Estrada Kelly, as well as my first novel based on Filipino Folklore. Kelly paints an extraordinary portrait of an ordinary girl who paved her own way on an amazing adventure. I absolutely loved how engaging her characters are, and how relatable Lalani is. An essential story of strength for boys and girls alike.
