This is one of my favorite books to recommend to reluctant readers. It is a fast read, the story is fast-paced, action-packed and believable for the reader to put themselves into the survival situation. This is a classic story of youth feeling bored with their elders’ stories about their skills and things they’ve learned …. But later learn those boring stories, skills and lessons are what their survival depends upon. I felt this was a fantastic book, bridging generations between old world life skills and new world technology and how both have benefits in a survival situation..
