"Cold Barrel Zero" and more....

I read three Matthew Quirk books back to back. They were very different types of stories. Although, the author writes well and tells a story that keeps your interest. If you want a suspense thriller with a good plot, I recommend "Cold Barrel Zero"," Night Agent" and, "The 500"

The book "Cold Barrel Zero" has nonstop action. A combat medic, Thomas, becomes a surgeon and moves from town to town. Never being able to outrun the ghosts in his past. He trips into his old war buddy. His buddy, John Hayes, is a Special Operations legend who went rogue on a deep-cover mission. Thomas is forced to help bring John Hayes to justice or believe him. Who should Thomas trust? You will enjoy finding out in this suspense thriller.

The book "Night Agent" is an easy read with suspense. A young FBI agent, Peter is assigned at the night station to wait on a call. Night after night the phone never rings, then suddenly the call comes in. As the story unfolds you realize you're not sure whom to trust. Who is the Russian mole? This is a page turner and will keep you up at night.

The book "The 500" reminded me of a John Grisham story. It's a political shell game. A young struggling lawyer, Mike is noticed by a top firm called the Davies Group. Mike's father was a con man. Mike has worked hard to leave that world behind only to realize the elite Washington firm plays the same game with higher stakes. Mike's hand is forced to play the game. Does he come out the winner? Matthew Quirk has a fabulous way of writing a book. He will keep you on the edge of your chair.

Enjoy!
