Big Lies in a Small Town

Diane Chamberlain's new book "Big Lies in a Small Town" is riveting. The book weaves two stories from 1940 and 2018. A famous black artist dies and he leaves a will with conditions that a girl  in prison must restore an old mural. Morgan is an artist, but has never worked on a restoration. What she finds under the grime is a story about madness, violence and a conspiracy of small town secrets. As Morgan takes layers of grime off the painting she is pulled into the story from 1940. She researches the artist and finds out Anna Dale disappeared before hanging the mural in Edenton, North Carolina's Post Office. Morgan wonders what happened to Anna Dale. The clues are hidden in the old mural. Can Morgan overcome her own demons to find out the lies that are buried deep? A must read with a great ending.
