Enjoy Historic Fiction?  Like family drama with sprinkles of mystery and scandal?  This beautifully constructed tale will satisfy all of your quips!  Wingate is an extremely engaging storyteller, her ability to pull you right alongside her characters is truly a gift.  Beware, this is a book that will send you down a rabbit hole trying to decipher what did and didn't occur, how much of her story is actually true (of course, like any wonderful human being, she does discuss the fact and fiction of her story in the end).  You can dig deeper into the true stories of some of the victims of the Tennessee Children's Home Society in the book Before and After by Wingate and Christie.
