"Silken Prey" by John Sandford is a good thriller with murder, politics and scandal. The main character, Lucas Davenport is an investigator. He is asked by the governor to investigate political fixing. The political fixer disappears. Lucas has to dig deep with very little evidence. He calls in help from friends with special skills and together they follow a twisted tale.
"The Longest Ride" by Nicholas Sparks is masterfully written. He weaves two couples' lives who have very little in common and they are from different generations. A cowboy falls in love with an art student. They help an old widower after a car accident and learn about his wife. Their lives converge with unexpected poignancy. I recommend reading the book first and then watch the movie. It's a great love story that will pull at your heart strings..
A great book for kids is "Peppa Pig and the Library Visit" by Neville Astley and Mark Baker. While looking for a book for a bedtime story the kids find their father's long lost book from the library. Peppa and George have never been to a library and want to know what it is. Come join their adventure as they visit the library.
