Do you need a peaceful book to help center yourself? "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse" is a quaint little book written by Charlie Mackery.  This book pulls you into a quieter, centered life and reminds you of your childhood. Beautifully illustrated and written this book will inspire you and give you hope.


"Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder" by Joanne Fluke is the first book in the Hannah Swensen series. Do you need a relaxing, fun, whodunit book? Hannah Swensen is a red head who runs the local Minnesota bakery called the "Cookie Jar" and is an ameteur sleuth. The local dairy man is killed in her back alley surrounded by her Chocolate Chip Crunchies. She has to solve the case so her cookies don't get a bad reputation. As she gets closer to finding the killer, her own life becomes in danger.  


"Orphan X" by Gregg Hurwitz is the first of six books in his series about the Nowhere Man. This is a fast paced thriller with high-tech gadgetry. Evan Smoak is the Nowhere Man. He is an orphan at age 12 and is brought into an undercover government operation to train children to be assassins. He is educated by a man who tries to keep Evan grounded and not a cold blooded killer. Evan starts to question who is behind his assignments and eventually leaves the program by using everything he has learned to disappear. He decides to help those who are desperate and deserving of help. However, his past nemesis tracks him down and is out to eliminate him.
