American Gods: Shadows

As I love all things Neil Gaiman, it is only right that I follow up with the graphic novel of one of his best novels, American Gods. If you have seen the show on STARZ, then you are already aware of how everything he touches is literally gold! Volume one of the graphic novel series is a strong follow up, in the graphic novel, Gaiman sticks much closer to the storyline of the original book. The artwork is sublime, and if you’ve read the Sandman Series by Gaiman, you know to expect the artwork to far exceed anything that he writes, which can only be described as MAGIC. If you haven’t read Sandman, add that to your list too. This volume was an incredible reimagining of a story that was/is, quite literally, a work of art.
