Winnie: The True Story of the Bear Who Inspired Winnie-the-Pooh and more....

Winnie: The True Story of the Bear Who Inspired Winnie-the-Pooh by Sally M. Walker

I love this book. If I am ever recommending a book, this is almost always a book that I am telling you to have to read. The book tells the story of how Harry Colebourn purchases Winnipeg. Winnie becomes a close friend who was sort of a mascot in the army. eventually gets taken to the London zoo, where the real Christopher Robin meets Winnie. This was then the inspiration behind the classic Winnie-the-Pooh stories. The book also has real images at the beginning and end of Winnie and different people you learn about through the story. -AH

The Halloween Tree by Susan Montanari

Just to start, this book is available on eREAD KIDS for audiobook checkout. I LOVED this book. I loved how over time the tree changes his point of view of lights and being surrounded by people. That while the tree does not work as a Christmas tree, he can be a Halloween tree. This book while titled Halloween Tree is a great book for any time of the year. -AH

Bruno Has one Hundred Friends by Francesca Pirrone

I love the story that this book tells, and it is with the times. The book does a great job to show kids that the friends that we have in real life are much more important than the ones we claim to have online. Who wants one hundred friends online when you can have real friends that actually care. I also loved the illustrations in the book. -AH
