While the book is about a girl remembering her father's legacy with ExcelsiCon, it is also about her breaking free of her step-families. Just to start, this book is available on RBdigital for ebook and audiobook checkout. This is an awesome fantasy book all about a young girl who is graced with the skill to kill. While being controlled by a cruel king to do his dirty work, Katsa breaks free from his rule and does what she deems right. Throughout her journey of doing what is right, she finds some close friends including a prince who is also graced. -AH
Perfect by Max Amato
Perfect is a picture book of an eraser and a pencil with very different ideals. The eraser loves everything clean and does not want anything ruining the white page. The pencil loves to draw and bother the eraser. Whenever the pencil drew something the eraser would come and remove the marks. The eraser was determined that no pencil can mess with him. Yet, the pencil takes over the page and has it covered in lead, the eraser learns that he can draw by using the eraser. He creates a fun page where he creates outer space. Yet, when the eraser is moved back to a blank page, and he learns that the perfectly clean page is not as much fun as it originally was. So, he invited the pencil to come back to make the page “Perfect.” -AH
